Professional
- Currently the Principal of Truro Elementary School.
- Was named the Principal in December of 2005 and served on the School Planning team during the construction of the building.
- Served as Principal of Tatamagouche Elementary 1998 – 2008. The school received national recognition as one of the top forty schools in the country in 2004.
- Assistant professor of Education at The University of Southern Mississippi summer adjunct program summer semester 1998.
- Graduate Assistant the University of Southern Mississippi 1997-1998.
- Prior to his employment in Mississippi was employed as a Senior High Teacher and Middle School Administrator for 6 years in Terrace British Columbia.
Major accomplishments
- President of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia.
- Has served the party as the Vice President of Policy and as Executive Vice President prior to becoming president.
- Head Coach of the Basketball Nova Scotia U-15 Boys Basketball Team in the summer of 2006.
- Principal of Tatamagouche Elementary named by Today’s Parent Magazine as one of the top forty schools in Canada in 2004.
- Head Coach of the North Colchester High School Mustang Basketball Team. Regional Champions 2006, 2007, 2008,2009, Provincial Champions 2009.
